THIS JUST IN: ELVIS NOT A RACIST!
Here is a well written article on the unfortunate rumour that has taken place amongst many muscians that Elvis Presley was a racist.Sadly, old left-wing stereotypes and cliches die hard, especially in the arts.
At least this is a start.

really - every issue that is negative is automatically a leftie thing.
Fact - southern white, protestant, republican men were to bigots down south - otherwise known as the KKK.
Fact - The south at the time of Elvis' peak in the 50's amd 60's was Democrat. All those racist KKK incidents we learn about in films like Mississippi Burning were most likely statistically committed by Democrats.
That is why you hear people like James Carville say the Democrats have to get back the south. It is also why you have former KKK members like Robert Byrd in the Democratic Party and not the Republican Party.
