NOW WE CAN'T EVEN SAY WHAT OUR LAWS ARE

I am not at all surprised at this decision. Now we cannot even say what our laws are.

Madness.

The reason the left has to ban the opposing views, such as in this case, the case of Ezra Levant, Mark Steyn or the Pope at the university in Rome is because they have no more ideas or arguments.

Because they refuse to read history they cannot even say they stand on the shoulders of giants. Rather, they hope to censor the giants in the hopes that the rest of society will be as ignorant as they.

If they can find the money, I hope this goes to court.

I think this counsellor needs to know his views do NOT represent... well... anyone.

First off, the deleted comment was my own. I originally wrote that I agree, but the truth is, McHattie's views represent many people. That is just no reason to censor the opposition.

Should anyone email him, be polite and respectful.

I think the reason you get so few comments on your blog is that your ideas are totally lacking in any real intellectual foundation.

There is an assertiveness in your writing that betrays a deep held anger.

If Christ came to Toronto today, do you think he would find the nearest Conservative Party meeting and join in? Or would he spend the day with the sick, the lonely, the confused, the hospitalized, the marginalized, gays, immigrants, pregnant teenagers, the insane?

What do you think? Do you feel God is on your side, Nicol?

Find the source of your anger, fix it, and then move on. And read your bible more.

First off anonymous, thank you for your comments.

"I think the reason you get so few comments on your blog is..."

...because I post so infrequently.

"...is that your ideas are totally lacking in any real intellectual foundation."

No, I am most certainly not an "intellectual". I do not think Marxism is democracy and democracy is tyranny. I believe in the will of the people. Not a small core of, usually white, elites in media. I actually have read Darwin's sexual selection theory and find Foucault flawed. I understand that free speech and debate is tantamount to any free society. So you are correct, despite my degrees and scholarships, I am most certainly not an 'intellectual'. Most 'intellectuals' I know can barely spell.

"There is an assertiveness in your writing that betrays a deep held anger."

There is certainly a confidence in my writing but I am actually just a lovable, little guy. I think you project based on stereotypes. That I cannot control. That is the problem with writing on the 'net'. It lacks tone, and context. Hence we always project onto what we read based on stereotypes. I could use emoticons, but they are so cheesy.

"If Christ came to Toronto today, do you think he would find the nearest Conservative Party meeting and join in?"

No, Christ would not join the ever flawed Consevatives...but at least, unlike the Liberals and the NDP, he would be allowed to. At least they aren't looking for ways to tax and shut down the places where people could go to see him.

"Or would he spend the day with the sick, the lonely, the confused, the hospitalized, the marginalized, gays, immigrants, pregnant teenagers, the insane?"

Christ is God, but man, that would be a lot of people to spend the day with. Would he have the time?

Here's my take, although I humbly say I would not know for certain what he would do...

"the sick" ; yes, but he would not try to euthanize them

"the lonely" ; yes, but he not tell them to find companionship in sex dolls, 'safe' crack pipes and New Age dogma. He would try to make them confident in who they were, not buy into the ideology that they are all victims and powerless.

"the confused" ; yes, but wasn't the Pope recently banned from an Italian University? In our modern Western society the most truly confused are those who seem to be the most assertive that they are not.

"the hospitalized" ; most certainly, he would try to comfort them, not euthanize them and make them feel worthless because they can no longer have a hot, sexy 'urban' lifestyle. He would also want them to have the best care possible, not just use them as a stake in political football whenever someone wants to acknowledge there is a problem with the system.

"the marginalized" ; yes, he would most obviously hang out with moral conservatives, pro-life groups, Evangelicals, practicing Catholics, adherent Muslims, Orthodox Jews and many more. If time allows, he might also visit John Tory and Stephane Dion.

"gays" ; certainly...and he would speak with love and compassion.

"immigrants" ; most definitely, but he would tell themselves to be confident in who they were and not to buy into the fearmongering of progressive, usually white, politicians who tell them they will never make it and are only victims. He might tell them to be wary of any person who believes multiculturalism is only about having a diverse variety of restaurants on a Friday night.

"pregnant teenagers" ; goodness me, yes. He would probably spend much time loving them and giving them support. He would do all he could to support thier decision to have the child and find ways to aid them. He would probably also scorn those scions of modern pop culture and progressive academia who encourage young girls to be promiscuous at every turn and then mock them when they decide to have their child.

"the insane" ; yes, he would probably give them genuine council and aid. Or just sit by their side quietly until the pain passed. He would try to get them real help. If they were on the street and homeless, he would try to get them a shelter...not try to glamourize the homeless, poverty ridden lifestyle with films like Into the Wild.

"What do you think? Do you feel God is on your side, Nicol?"

I am not so arrogant as to say He is, nor so nihilistic as to say he is not. I only do the best I can and try to do my part.

"Find the source of your anger, fix it, and then move on."

Again, you project feelings onto me that I just do not have. Do not confuse a confident writing style with anger. But one can never move on from injustice. It is ongoing and is the history of the planet.

"And read your bible more."

I do, friend. Do you? Jesus was neither a liberal nor a conservative; but remember, love and tolerance is defined by Him...not the local Chapter of the HRC.

But these are all my opinions and you are free to disagree and are welcome to comment or question me anytime.

I thank you for your comments and wish you nothing but the best.

God bless.
