FILE THIS UNDER...

Why I believe in separation of art and state...

or

How many homeless people could that money have fed...

or

When even the fascists are afraid to speak up, you know the culture is not going to change anytime soon...

or

This is why I don't believe a bloody thing 'artists' say about George Bush...

or

What the hell is the point of voting anyway...

"The federal Conservative government says it won't lay a hand on the Lactation Station Breast Milk Bar.

A Toronto performance artist is offering the public an opportunity to sample human breast milk, in the spirit of wine tasting, and the lesbian single mother is using a $9,000 grant from the Canada Council for the Arts to help get the creative juices flowing. "

We are being betrayed by a generation of artists.

And nobody cares.

And when we are all long and dead from the planet it will be their stories and experiences that set the record of who we were at this point in history.

Are they speaking for you?

Do you care?

The Milk Marketing Board monopoly is the only politically correct organization with the power to shut her down because Canadians love their government regulators. Hey, we get funky commercials for the privelege of paying twice what milk should cost, so let the kids drink Coke.

Government 'artists' suck. That's why there is no counterculture today - the differences of opinion between Liberals and artists today are negligible - boring.

I love the Fine Arts.
I could spend my days wandering around gallery's, but this is crap. That $9000 would be better spent giving summer drawing/painting lessons to kids...

"Lactation Station Breast Milk Bar"

If this weren't true it would be hilarious. And if it weren't true no one would make it up.

Is all modern "art" meant only to provoke disgust or derision?

Yeah, I'm a smart person, but I really don't 'get' art. Never been a fan. I'm not that much of an abstract thinker. I like facts and rationality.
