STRATEGIC VOTING?
For personal reasons, I have not been able to post as much about this election as I would have liked.Nevertheless, I will add my voice to the number that are now saying we need to deny Dalton McGuinty another majority.
Thankfully, I live in a riding which, while most likely going Liberal, has the Progressive Conservatives as the next bet.
I rarely say this, but if you are in a riding where the NDP could seriously overtake a Liberal candidate, it might be worth strategically voting to try to do anything we can at this late date to deny McGuinty a second majority.
It is a shame that Ontarians are so uneducated, that they would allow this to happen.
I am also sorry that so many conservatives have allowed themselves to have their fear button hit and not even be aware how they are being played.

I tend to agree with you on this. In the case of this election, if you don't like Tory but still don't want McGuinty to have carte-blanche to do what he wants, it would be a good idea to look back in the past elections and see who could overtake the Liberal candidates of the ridings.
Even if you don't like the NDP or the Greens or whatever... it might be good enough to just dilute McGuinty's power. At the present rate, it looks like the Liberals could get an even bigger majority, and that is pretty scary.
I agree with you. A minority government would at least provide a check on the Liberal arrogance.
Also, vote for a strong local candidate - a good representative can provide an effective opposition, which is crucial to democracy.
and vote for MMP, so it would deny any future majorities for parties that fail to garner 50% of the popular vote....
And vote MMP, so Dalton's Liberals can reward the mud slingers like Ben Chin and Warren Kinsella with perpetual appointments to the legislature with no way for taxpayers to hold them accountable and get rid of them.
Oh, good one, Matt! I hadn't even thought of that.
Don't vote for MMP. Complain about the stupidity of the voters instead. It doesn't matter that the Liberals will only get a majority because of FPTP, does it?
Gotta admire Greg. He never gives up.
Lord Kitchener has given up on me, I guess.
